Tiger Tail is an American company founded by athlete Spring Faussett, with a mission to educate on the subject of sore muscle recovery, enhancing performance and injury prevention by providing a variety of products that will penetrate any affected area in an easy yet rapid, effective, relief-giving way. We recently had an opportunity to try out the Tiger Tail Roadster, which is the 11 inch version from their foam roller range. Read on for our review!
Design: First things first, the design is industry-leading and award-winning so that in itself stands out and is very impressive. Anyway, the small size of this particular model means it is extremely portable and can fit into most bags. This means it can be used at work or just out and about which is a real perk. Also because of its petite size it is useful when trying to get to those hard-to-reach spots.
The orange handles on each end saves your thumbs, fingers and hands from fatigue as the roller glides through your fingers to make it more comfortable to use. It is designed not to pinch skin or pull out hair making it very relaxing on your skin.
Build: In terms of the build, the Roadster is very sturdy and it can’t be broken or bent out of shape. It’s non-porous and contains no rubber or latex as well as no hard plastic, metal or wood.
Performance: As someone who plays football three times a week as well as going to the gym, I found this product extremely useful. You can use it pre, post and during a workout so it really does help your muscles feel pliable. For me, rolling the Roadster on any problem areas I had before playing sport or a workout helped me as I felt my muscles were more relaxed and further reduced any indications of cramp or general tightening.
Value: This product is not only good value for money at around £25, it also brings essential physiological benefits. Its portable design means you can take it anywhere or use on the go at any point during the day when your muscles need a good massage and its smooth surface is unlike most other products I’ve tried.
Summary: We believe this is a must-have product for anyone who is looking to ‘turn sore muscles into happy muscles’.
