Om International Yoga Day this Sunday in London!

Join us on 18th June 2017 to celebrate the third international day of yoga with a day of free yoga in the beautiful grounds of Alexandra Palace, London for: Om International Yoga Day!

“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self” – Bhagavad Gita

This quote sums up what yoga is about, although you might wonder what the many reasons are for why it’s growing so rapidly in popularity. More and more people from all backgrounds are investing in yoga mats, attending classes and taking part in meditation for an array of different reasons, both physically and mentally. Not only does it help you keep fit, it’s about balancing, cleansing and purifying yourself from the inside out. Yoga also increases your flexibility, strength and improves your energy and vitality. People are beginning to discover the impact that yoga and meditation has on their quality of life (QOL scores) and general wellness, which is a great reason to practice it.

Om International Yoga Day will welcome visitors from 8am to 6pm with 53 yoga sessions taking place throughout the day for separate classes and a main stage will offer everything from singing bowl meditation and Jeevan mukti miss sessions to laughter yoga and family yoga; it’s the perfect chance to try something new whether you are a beginner or have been practicing for years, there’s something for everyone. Alongside the all-day yoga classes there will be a selection of specially chosen exhibitors who will be on hand to offer all sorts from clothing to jewelry and even yoga retreats.

Visitors are also encouraged to stop by the meditation space where the Brahma Kumaris will have guided meditations throughout the day on inspiring and thought- provoking topics, these sessions are free of charge and suitable for all even if you are a total meditation newbie!

So bring your mat and spend this special summer Sunday in June celebrating International Yoga Day, see you there! Namaste.
