Mental Exercises: Top 3 Quick and Easy Ways to Stay Positive!

A negative attitude makes you feel worse physically. It causes you to become more stressed, which makes your discomfort worse and saps your vitality. However, positive thinking is good for health condition improvement, lifespan, enjoyment, professional progression, sports performance, team building, and financial success.

Being upbeat isn’t merely a pleasant way to live. It is a way of life. Hence, if you can learn to change your perspective and practise positive thinking, it will have a significant influence on your life and yourself. Curious? You should be! So without further ado, let’s get into Mental Exercises: Top 3 Quick and Easy Ways to Stay Positive!

1. Using Positive Affirmations

Positive affirmations are words or phrases that make you feel good that you repeat to yourself every day. The book, “The Science of the Mind”, by Ernest Holmes, explains it this way: “To affirm anything is to state that it is so, and to maintain this as being true in the face of all evidence to the contrary.

Human thought can only affirm, for even at the time of denial, it is affirming the presence of that which it denies! Repeating an affirmation is leading the mind to that state of consciousness where it accepts that which it wishes to believe.”

Positive affirmations help change your thinking and focus on the positive aspects of your life. For example, try saying, ‘I can do it”, “I am beautiful”, or, “I am confident”, if you are suffering from low self-esteem.

A good positive affirmation will support you to deal with stress and expand your brain’s neural network. When you repeat these affirmations over and over again, you are reminding yourself of these positive statements and can begin to believe in them more fully.

2. Express Gratitude & Appreciation

Gratitude is a self-promotional practice; grateful individuals are more inclined to express gratitude in a wider range of situations and notice others’ goodness. Gratitude improves one’s emotional, psychological, spiritual, and physical well-being significantly. Practising thankfulness and appreciation can help you shift your mentality to one that is more positive and happier.

You could practise expressing it in a variety of ways, such as writing gratitude diaries by recording a beautiful sunset, a delicious meal, or a great film…which might assist you in reflecting on the excellent things that are happening in your life right now, reinforcing your efforts to stay positive.

3. Stay Focused

Chris Bailey, the author of the book “Hyperfocus”, said that our capacity to focus is essential for productivity, creativity, and living a fulfilling life. Few people know that it takes us 23 minutes to return to intense concentrate after being distracted and moving away from a task.

Therefore, staying concentrated throughout the day will help you avoid getting distracted by negative energy to complete your tasks more efficiently and to create more time to do the things you want to accomplish in any given day.

Exercise produces peaceful energy that surrounds the body. As a result, when you have an unbreakable spirit and a fulfilling day, that will undoubtedly assist you in remaining positive the next day too! Yoga, meditation and deep breathing are all effective ways to help you achieve prolonged peace and focus.

The phrase “the power of positive thought” is well-known across the world. We are all capable of being optimistic, regardless of our circumstances or conditions.

It’s only a matter of believing in ourselves and putting our beliefs into action. What are your thoughts on staying positive? How do you keep your optimistic mindset ON in daily life? Let us know in the comments below, and join in the conversation on FacebookTwitter & Instagram
