Breath Magic: The FREE Secret Key to True Health and Happiness

“When the breath is unsteady, all is unsteady; when the breath is still; all is still. Control the breath carefully. Inhalation gives strength and a controlled body; retention gives steadiness of mind and longevity; exhalation purifies body and spirit.” – Goraksasathakam.

What if I told you that you might be breathing wrongly? Are you a mouth breather or a nasal (nose) breather? Do you know the benefits of nasal breathing? In this article I am going to show you a simple way to boost your health and well-being by just breathing through your nose, so pay close attention and follow on for Breath Magic: The FREE Secret Key to True Health and Happiness!

I took part in the free Keep Fit Kingdom wellness study on how to increase energy and how to reduce DOMS (Delay Onset Muscle Soreness) through a special, yet simple technique. It is an easy-to-follow method with plenty of benefits, which can be put under the banner of autonomic harmonic wellness.

While Doing this Breathing Technique and Researching this Topic, I Found Out the Following:

  • A high number of adults breathe through their mouths and this can lead to health issues
  • Your nose is designed to help you breathe safely; filters out foreign particles, humidifies inhaled air, and produces nitric oxide (it is a vasodilator, it helps to widen blood vessels.)
  • It is true that sometimes mouth breathing is necessary, but it can increase the risk of inhaling unfiltered air, flu pathogens, Covid, asthma, sleep apnea, snoring, gingivitis, and more

Some Benefits of Using the Nasal or Nostril Breath:

  • Reduced exposure to foreign substances
  • Improved lung volume
  • Lowered risk of allergies and fever
  • Lowered snoring and sleep apnea
  • Increase air flow to arteries, veins, and nerves
  • Better digestive functioning

The Method:

  • Assume a comfortable posture with your back straight.
  • Close your eyes or focus on a single point with your eyes open.
  • Close your mouth (you must breathe only through your nose).
  • Use your right thumb to block your right nostril and breath 12 times in and out through your left nostril. Do this 4 times (total 48 breaths).
  • Breathe in sets of 3 x 4 = 12 breaths per set.
  • Repeat the same process but now use your index finger to block your left nostril and breath through your right nostril. Do this 4 times. (Total 48 breaths).
  • This is known as 1 set. Now repeat the same for 10 minutes continuously.

My Experience

At the beginning it was hard for me to focus, my mind was all over the place.

Once I was able to focus on my breathing, I started noticing some pains in my body, (after years of contact sport) then I remembered the last time I tried yoga and how once we had to do this same exercise, I was feeling the same pain.

Then I realized I was connecting to my body again and by doing it I was feeling all the stress on my body, all the accumulated tension.

After a few days of doing this breathing method, those 10 painful minutes became my “10 minutes of peace”, after doing it, I began to feel in a pleasant, balanced harmony, with my own mood energy.

When doing the breathing exercise, I tried to be in a quiet and peaceful space before returning to whatever usual music, and noise, but I just didn’t feel like jangling my nerves up like that anymore. I found myself being happily quiet and tranquil in silence in my own house, and feeling really good about it.

After experiencing all this, I decided to keep on doing this technique whilst reading and learning more about the science and benefits behind it.

Summary

We live in a society where body and mind are not connected anymore, anxiety and stress levels are getting higher, and we are forgetting about the most important thing…the BREATH.

This study and all this information is quite new, but Keep Fit Kingdom’s method is already showing satisfactory, and consistent results in those who practice it for 10 minutes per day.

It will only take 10 minutes, but add so much to your day in terms of energy, poise, creativity, emotional wellness, positivity, overall wellness, and more. You can do it at home, on your break at work, indoors, outdoors, in the morning, at night, anywhere, at any time and for as long as you want!
