They don’t just stop there though. Raw Cacao contains magnesium, potassium and iron which are all healthy minerals and the bar itself has lower fat and saturated fat than commercial chocolate bars. Goji Goodness boasts under 1g of fat per bar and the Ginger Teatox bar is a good source of dietary fibre.
Taste:
Raw Cacao – This little treat has powerful but nice chocolate undertones and mixes well with the sponginess of the sultanas. The goji berries and cranberries are also a great addition to this bar and they leave a sweet flavour in your mouth after you finish chomping away.
Goji Goodness – The packaging says ‘I’m the fruity one’ and they’re certainly right there. This bar tasted great and it really filled my mouth with all sorts of wonderful flavours. The goji berries and cranberries came through the most which was good but I also tasted a hint of apricots which really added a pleasing taste dimension. The natural strawberry flavouring also helped further boost its delicious taste.
Ginger Teatox – This bar provided a variety of different flavours which for me were all very pleasant. I first noticed the ginger but then tasted the pineapple and papaya which was quite refreshing. There was a small kick of heat from the ginger in the back of my throat after eating this, but overall it did compliment the sweetness of the fruit and the texture of the sultanas.
Value: These bars are all excellent value for money with them all selling for just under £1 each (99p to be exact). They‘re a great on-the-go snack and can also be used as a power bar if you’re going to hit the gym, go cycling or even running.
Summary: Overall I would certainly recommend you give these a try, as they are a fantastic healthy alternative to many other cereal bars on the market.
