Vegan Makeup: 5 Amazing Brands You Should Know About!

Just a few years ago vegan makeup products were few and far between, with most companies making use of animal testing and animal products in their cosmetics. Most brands now offer a vegan range; there are whole brands dedicated to vegan cosmetics only.

I’m always on the lookout for new vegan makeup products and brands, and have tried and tested these high quality ones (befitting a range of budgets) on myself. Curious? Then follow on for Vegan Makeup: 5 Amazing Brands You Should Know About!

1. KVD

In 2016, Kat Von D revolutionized their whole product line to fully vegan! One bestseller which vegans love, is their tattoo eyeliner, accurately named since this is long-lasting beyond belief! Though KVD is quite high up in the price range, it’s definitely worth the money!

2. NYX Vegan Range

A more budget-friendly option for vegan makeup is N.Y.X. They boast an impressive range of nude vegan eye shadow palettes, with lots of pigment and great blendability! Their vegan formula foundation and concealer is also one of the best for natural-looking coverage that I’ve tried.

3. e.l.f

e.l.f has been a well-known popular vegan makeup brand for a long while before being vegan was ‘trendy’. As well as high quality natural-looking makeup, e.l.f also boasts an amazing range of skin care that I have personally found to be very effective.

4. Hourglass Cosmetics

Hourglass cosmetics offers a wide range of makeup, from primers and foundations, to highly pigmented lipsticks, all with high quality formulas. Their brushes are my favourite, made with synthetic bristles that feel beautiful against the skin and blend the product well.

5. Lime Crime

American brand Lime Crime’s product range is perfect for festival makeup. There are bright colours and lots of unique products on offer! Lime Crime sits at the mid-range end of pricing despite being vegan, so it’ll make a great choice for most!
