Cibiday – 25% CBD Oil

Interest in and the market for CBD (cannabidiol) products is continually growing and at an all-time high. Unfortunately, it’s easy to get lost in the world of CBD and be left hanging with a host of questions such as, what is CBD? Will CBD make me feel high? Is it addictive? What is THC? There are now many products on the market and as many ways that CBD is used and incorporated into products.

Here at Keep Fit Kingdom, we were pleased to recently receive three CBD oils for review from Cibiday, a Dutch, Rotterdam-based company that has years of experience with cannabis plant products. We received a 5ml bottle of 4.5% CBD in hemp oil, a 5ml bottle of 10% CBD in olive oil and a syringe of 25% CBD/CBDA in raw hemp oil, with 1g of it made from whole plant extract (flower buds – Cannabis sativa L). So, what was it like to try these out? Read on and find out in our review…

Company Ethos: Cibiday CBD Oil & Products

“Cibiday. For a carefree dayis the company’s slogan. CBD is said to be non-intoxicating and relaxing whilst being simultaneously able to raise your sensory acuity. In essence it helps optimise your natural state of equilibrium, balance and wellness and only contains a negligible (<0.2%) amount of THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), the main psychoactive cannabis ingredient. This is the element which causes you to get or become ‘high’.

They provide a broad range of CBD products to help mellow out your mood including chocolates, sweets, tea, crystals, e-liquids, creme, and of course CBD-oils containing varying concentrations of CBD. Their selection ranges from light applications, ie.1.0% for children and animals, all the way up to 55%. The company has its own laboratory where the effects of CBD (and over 100 other cannabinoids) are researched and tested whilst the ingredients used are biologically certified. The company believes that anyone should be able to benefit from their oils and also provide a low budget Silver Line range.

The 4.5% CBD oil is the basic recommended starting dose for adults, whilst lower is good for pets and children. The 4.5% and 10% CBD oils came in a bottle with a handy pipette (dropper) making them easy to dispense 1, 2 or 3 drops at a time. The 25% CBD oil came loaded in a syringe, with just a rice-grain amount being sufficient as a single dose.

Review

Taste:
At both the lower and higher percentages, the taste is grassy and bitter, and might give rise to a minor burning sensation in the throat, yet it’s only for a very short period. It is best to leave it under your tongue (sublingually) for a minute to achieve the best level of absorption.

Effects:
I did not notice anything in particular when using the 5% or 10% CBD oils; thus after a few days I increased the dosage, without any noticeable effect. In this stressful world, I’m no stranger to (sometimes easily) getting stressed myself, as I have a tendency to worry and overthink things a lot.

Taking the 25% CBD Oil (Raw Hemp Oil) (once in the morning only) was quite a revelation as I noticed a significant degree of relaxation and a much ‘quieter mind’ after just a few days’ use. That laid-back feeling lasted 2-3 days; and proved to be a very welcome effect sparking an interest into the possibilities that might be experienced using some of Cibiday’s other products.

Summary:
It takes a few days before you begin to notice the effects of the oil on your mind and body, and has an acquired taste. Most notably, the effects of the higher percentage 25% CBD oil showed a very obviously pleasant and (I must say) welcome effect on my peace of mind! I was surprised that this effect actually lasted for a few days, even though only a low, once-per-day dosage was taken.
